Making improvements to your home’s energy efficiency through the Advanced Home Upgrade Program helps you save energy and money and enhances indoor air quality―making your home more livable and more comfortable. Even simple improvements like sealing leaky ducts, or installing an efficient heating and cooling system can make a big difference in your home’s comfort and air quality.

By participating in the Advanced Home Upgrade Program, you can:

You may be eligible for incentives up to $5,500.

The amount of the rebate is a function of your square footage and of your existing level of insulation. Our complimentary assessment allows us to calculate the exact amount of your rebate which we guarantee will be paid by Guardian Insulation in the unlikely event of a denial notice from SDGE.

Federal Tax Credits

Solar customers are entitled to a 30% Federal tax credit. Insulation customers receive 10% of the cost of materials up to a maximum of $500. For this reason we technically “sell” our insulation to customers and provide labor at no charge. For solar customers we offer, as an alternative to a discount, to throw in free insulation, which allows the customer to receive a 30% tax credit on every dollar they spend

Financing

Guardian offers low interest financing through HERO (Home Energy Renovation Opportunity) which allows you to deduct the entire cost of your insulation & the full amount of the interest. Depending on your tax bracket this often allows for a net zero interest loan and allows you to pay for your entire project out of the savings on your energy bills. We can also assist you in acquiring a home equity line of credit which offers rates as low as 3.75%.

Additional Incentives

Edison and SDG&E Annual Credits of up to $250 per year on your electric bill are also available for homeowners whose residences are equipped with central air conditioning.
